Good day, everyone! Happy Wednesday, and Happy New Year. The Andromeda Stars have been really busy since we last met, and I wanted to get everyone caught up on what’s going on.
First, we have some thoughts from our CEO, Michael Dowden, about this past year and what we’re looking forward to in 2026.
For many of us 2025 was a challenging year, full of significant cultural and technological changes punctuated by political and economic uncertainty. Even in this environment the team at Andromeda was able to lead multiple product launches, completing significant projects for clients and also bringing their own Lore Link to market. During the year the team visited six countries, spoke at a dozen live events, were featured on multiple podcasts, published in JavaScript Magazine, and published regular blog posts.
We helped our clients with a wide range of services including web audits, tech management consulting, accessibility consulting, product development, fractional CTO service, and custom application development. We continue to take pride in leveraging the latest technology while maintaining a focus on user experience, accessibility, and the human element of software.
In the coming year we're looking to grow as we focus on expanding services to our core customers while continuing to grow our footprint in Europe. We're spinning off Lore Link as the latest company in the Andromeda family alongside FlexePark, and continuing to improve our Ignition CMS.
If you, or a company you work with, are looking for UX, Accessibility, and Product Development services please reach out or submit a referral.
Are you frustrated with parking in your area, or perhaps know someone who wants to build their own parking business? Reach out to us at FlexePark to learn more.
Or perhaps you and your friends play tabletop roleplaying games such as D&D, Daggerheart, or Pathfinder? Level up as a Gamemaster using Lore Link.
As Michael said, we’ve been publishing regular blog posts. Here’s what we’ve had up since our last newsletter!
- Custom Domains on Firebase - Michael talks about all of the steps needed to get your custom domain name attached to your Firebase project.
- Styling on the Edge - Martine takes a look at how borders in CSS have evolved over the years, and how there is more flexibility in how they’re used.
- Styles in the Modern Age - Martine was a guest on the Angular Plus Show talking about how to structure and manage styles the right way in Angular.
- Rethinking Tooltip with Interest Invokers and Popover - Martine goes into some newer, less-complicated ways for implementing tooltip, without using JavaScript.
Before we wrap up, I would also like to give a huge shout out to Shannon, who did a fantastic job putting together our new intro video over on YouTube! We encourage you to check it out, and if you want to go directly to it, here you go! And with that, I’m going to sign off on this newsletter.
If you’ve read this far down, thank you! I appreciate you! Please remember to take good care of yourself. Stay hydrated, don’t work through meals, and get up from your desk to stretch now and then. Most importantly, be excellent to yourselves and each other.
